Turning a simple format into a viral product and then a sustainable app: from the 'game of the summer' PWA with shareable result cards to a native product with progression, an in-game economy and monetisation
The approach
A Next.js web app with server-generated share cards for virality, then a native pivot with Expo/React Native and a self-hosted realtime backend (Nakama + Postgres) with in-app purchases. All on owned infrastructure, with CI/CD and automated deploys
